I use an ipad with mine and the PromptSmart Pro app on it - it detects the person's voice so if they're reading the script it automatically moves for them. I've also used the bluetooth app with it and you can scroll from your phone. You can shut that feature off as well if they're just reading a bullet point list and ad-libing what they're saying so it won't move. I've filmed sitting right next to and can use my finger on the side of the iPad and scroll it manually as well without my hand being in the shot.
we set it up at 10 feet..and it is really, really easy to see and use. I might imaging 15ish feet would still work. We use a Samsung tablet with free teleprompter software. This allows us to regulate font size and scroll speed.
The further from the actor, the less eye-wiggle. And at 10 feet, in a large font...no eye movement is discernible.
The video shows this product using a phone camera as the camera and an iPad as the flat projector. So yes - definitely according to the video shown.

May take some extra rigging of the back if you plan on having the person read directly into the lens (like they are talking directly to audience). Otherwise, you could setup the iPad to the side of the prompter and frame the shot with the person looking slightly off center.
I have this happening as well. It makes the text very fuzzy and hard to read. I'm contacting glide gear and will have to return and find an alternative if this isn't fixable.

You can use an iPhone to film. I comes with an iPhone holder. I would not use the iPhone as the teleprompter part that reads the scripts.
You have light reflecting off of the front glass. Try to reduce or eliminate the light coming in to stop the glare.
The transmitter and receiver signal light indicate blue means paring successfully.
